As the inventor of the Automatic Nail Grinder (- and former 10 year resident of Ontario, CA), I can certainly recommend that you try this device and become yet another dog owner to enjoy regular, safe and pleasurable treatments with your dogs. I picked up a commentary from a skeptical groomer on the West Coast several weeks back and sent her and her team a test unit. Below is her response, when I asked her opinion on a Canadian inquiry regarding a Chihuahua.
Please check the video on Google - Automatic Nail Grinder, read some of the background in the interview, and I hope this will convince you to give this "method of the future" a good and patient try. In time, as I have learned it, you will truly appreciate these moments with your dog, and so will he/she! My Irish Setter, Oliver never had his hair caught, and if it does happen to dogs with very long hair on the paws, the drum simply stops! If you find that the current drum can be improved, this too is in the works, more designs and additional surfaces.

Hi Peter,
I can say 100 percent that small dogs can have nice nails with the Paw Pal.
I use mine every day.....today I did a basset hounds nails with no problem. She normally will cry and fuss as only bassets can do. her mom was amazed and added a nice tip to the bill.
I will be ordering another one from Laube as one of my other groomers is just as fond of it as me. It bounces back and forth from our grooming stations each day.
I also want you to know that I saw your video online....in the Google video section. I was doing a search for dog or dog grooming videos and it came up on the search. Very nice!
