            Until now, Clipper Vacuum systems were sold as a vehicle to sell vacuums.  Modifications were made to the faceplates of clippers to accommodate a fitting for a vacuum hose.  This fitting was a visual obstruction as well as extra weight at the head of the clipper which threw off the balance of the hand piece.  Air flow was controlled by a little rubber flap that was held open by one of the groomers fingers during operation.  While this delivered the desired result (Clean air, clean dog, clean work environment, etc.) it was cumbersome and expensive in most cases over a thousand dollars.

            We now have a State of the Art tool in the IVAC Clipper™.  The concept is simple; we supply the clipper, you supply the vacuum.  The iVac clipper™ will work with any vacuum or vacuum system; in fact it will operate with an ordinary shop-vac.  The attachment is even packed with the clipper.  A cleaner work environment is now easy and affordable. The clipper specifications are similar to the other clippers in the line ( 4,500 Strokes per minute on low speed and over 9,000 Strokes per minute on high, warranted for 5 years, and weight slightly more than 11 ounces).  The unit comes with a generous 17 feet of hose which gives the user a lot of options and flexibility.  Patented features include the vacuum aperture built into the clipper exiting out the rear of the machine as well as the air flow regulator on the side of the housing.

            There are numerous benefits to Vacuum Clipping.  First, the air flow over the blades help to drastically reduce the heat build up and keeps them cool.  The vacuum tends to stand the hair up so one pass over an area is usually sufficient when it used to take 2 or 3 which reduces the time it takes to groom a dog.  The cut hair, fleas, and parasites from the dog are sucked into the vacuum instead of in your lungs and on the floor where they are likely to jump onto another host dog.  The groomers clothes are also kept much cleaner due to the fact they have no clipped hair on them.
